Hi,
I recently realized that I should be confessing the number of times that I have committed a mortal since (I had not previously been doing so). So, in order to be thorough, I “added” my numbers of big mortal sins from my entire past as best I could and went to confession yesterday. Right before confession, I realized I had “one more” to add to one of my lists, but I also knew full well that I had confessed that particular event specifically in detail in confession years ago. So, although I told myself to add one on just in case, I forgot during confession. Since I have confessed this for sure, but did not add to my “lump sum,” can I leave it behind me or do I need to visit it again?
I know this is all me being overly scrupulous, but I just want to make sure. Thank you so much!
