Didn’t know a category. So I had an idea for a tattoo. Wanted to know if it sounds cool. If you dont like tattoos pretend we’re talking about a painting. So it would be a woman and a 5-6 year old boy walking and holding hands (obviously mother and child). Their backs would be toward you so they would look like any woman and child but they are casting shadows and the shadows have crowns. Would people understand the meaning of is it a bad idea?

I think all tattoos are a bad idea. 😛
Word of advice, if you’re not sure where to put something, put it under casual discussion.

I’m plagiarizing this idea.

People will interpret it in different ways, I expect. What matters is your interpretation of it and if you like it enough to have it on your skin forever.

I’ve got 5 tattoos (4 if you count a rose above a phrase as one )

They’re all God-centered and I’ve been thinking about getting an anchor (Jesus is my anchor In the stormy sea of my OCD mind). With teal roses. (Teal is OCD awareness color).

You know, that is the interesting thing about tattoos…If people don’t understand, they will ask what it means and it can be a teaching moment in some cases. My youngest son got a tattoo when he went in the Marines. It is a beautiful script typeface of a bible verse. How could anyone object?

My first is a black cross, with purple roses for my mom who was a gardener and for St. Therese Lisieux who also was my moms Patron Saint.
This one is above my left ankle.

My second is black writing (cursive), that says “Have faith in Him” with a cross at the end of the quote, plus I later had a dark pink/orange rose with a black outline added above the quote because the quote didn’t look feminine enough. I got those when I had my cancer scare/hysterectomy last winter. It’s on the inside of my forearm.

Then I had a black outline of a dove above my right ankle.

And and an Ichthys with a small cross for its eye.

Very cool. Can you translate that for me?

Ive also considered getting the backside of a Miraculous Medal, maybe sometime, or something written in Latin.

The bottom text is “Jerusalem. 2018.”

I presume you’re familiar with IHS and the Jerusalem cross already.

I just don’t like them, they’re not something that appeal to me, nor do I think intentionally mutilating your skin is a good idea. I hate needles anyway. If you have them, that’s fine, but they are not something I think of as “art”.

Geez, to see some of the responses here, you’d think I’d just been called out as a communist during the 1950s.
