Anyone got a good resource for teaching the names of the parts of church? Preferably online, but I’ll take whatever I can get. All the ones I have found so far (including the online resource for the series our religious ed program uses, approved by the USCCB) are pathetic! They talk about the “entranceway”, the “assembly space”, the “table”. I wanted something with narthex, nave, altar, etc. Some have a few good points, but then mess up something else. Anyone know of a good solid resource? I’m getting ready to make up my own, help!

This is a good web site…Another resource with photos and more of an architecture study approach is the book by Michael Rose:

I have a resource for you. PM me your e-mail address and I will get it to you ASAP 🙂

Actually, the EWTN kid site is great for this. Just click on the parish church in the neighborhood.

8 children and counting? You are amazing! I bet Christmas at your house is going to be very merry in about 25 years with oodles of grandchildren. Actually, I’ll bet it already is pretty merry…
