Help to encourage a friend with cancer

Dear friends,
I have a friend that was recently diagnosed with an advanced stage cancer. Does anyone know of any inspirational prayers, poems, short stories that I can send to help inspire her? She is a deeply religious person and I would like to help her in any way I can. She is bilingual therefore she speaks English and French.

Searching for and Maintaining Peace by French Priest Fr. Jacques Philippe is excellent for maintaining peace in a time of testing. Almost any of his other books would also be a great help.

Do you know which type of cancer it is? Some late stage cancers, especially lymphomas, can be far from fatal. I can attest to this.
