Generally because at face value some things can seem trivial. Some also are misinterpreted when translated into English . When you read islam- Review explaining to you what does these Hadeeth mean or if they really in arabic mean what it has been translated to you in English then you can obviously misunderstand them.

It is reassuring that they need to falsify in order to have a valid attack strategy. Most of the Hadeeth that are quoted by Eden are taken out of the proper arabic meaning to deliberately decieve. You can take any verse and explain it as worse as you can get .

Its a waste of time to reply to a whole database of an Islamhater site. whomever wants to ask and is really sincere he can go to a mainstream islam website like

www.islamonline.net

thanks
So, why did Allah make his book only for the Arabic-speaking peoples? Why did he make it corruptible in translation?

By the way, we have Christians on these forums who are native Arabic speakers. I’m sure they could address whether or not the Quran is being quoted out of context in English.

This article states that the English version we get is actually sanitized!

Meedo, are you going to provide examples of where I have erred in my posts or are you now going to resort to personal attacks as a distraction?

Eden i think what Meedo meant is that some sites paraphrase the Quranic quotes in a way that sounds ugly or gives a different impression. So before quoting them as they are, check the Quran to see if they are faithful in conveying the meaning.

For example, the correct hadith about women in hell is :

Volume 1, Book 2, Number 28:
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:

The Prophet said: “I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were women who were ungrateful.” It was asked, “Do they disbelieve in Allah?” (or are they ungrateful to Allah?) He replied, “They are ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors and the good (charitable deeds) done to them. If you have always been good (benevolent) to one of them and then she sees something in you (not of her liking), she will say, 'I have never received any good from you.”

well the idea is still not beautiful but it is “better” than the way presented in the site you quoted cuz at least it shows the “why”…see what **Meedo **meant?

That’s fine. But meedo has every opportunity to correct the ones that he sees as inaccurate. And I don’t see the extended verse as being better. The majority of dwellers of hell were still women, for whatever reasons Muhammed may have dreamed up. It still says the majority of dwellers in hell are women! I see that as hostile towards women “who don’t know their place” - below men.

i know but probably he has no time…after all we bombard the threads with posts and he is not here all the time. Or it could be that whenever he sees a quote from anti-islam site, he feels the person is not willing to discuss. Whatever the reason is it is better to always make sure of what is being posted …i don’t want someone to come here and tell me that Jesus asks people to cut their hands by quoting half the sentence 😃

All that are worshipped by men besides Allah will burn in Hell together with those who worship him.

Um, Does this mean Jesus is going to Hellfire?
Of course not. Most Christians believe that Jesus is God, being one manifestation of the Trinity. Our Triune God and the Muslim Allah are the same but differently understood by two different faith traditions. Muslims and Christians both worship the God of Abraham.

Favors and charitable deeds? Umm, what does this mean? How are they to be grateful and for what exactly? Sorry but when have you ever heard of a Muslim woman who complained and lived to tell about it or did not get divorced on the spot? Who are these women that say I have never recieved any good from you? That sounds like a fairy tale and I am sure many think that way- but not due to Favors and charitable deeds though.
I personally dont think many women would be in Islam if they had a choice and no reprecussions and a little interest and time and a bible —
Poof! There would be a mass fall exodus.
Just a thought.

am i the only one that actually bothered looking up sura 21:91??

“And she who guarded her chastity, so We breathed into her of Our inspiration and made her and her son a sign for the nations.:”

thats 21:91

Looks like Damascus was discussing another sura and mislabelled it. The Sura 21:91 that I found reads as follows: “She has kept her private part clean then we blew in her from our Spirit and made her and her son ayatollah – for all the world.”

That is definitely a whole other thread.

the OP gave the wrong verse number. It is 98 not 91

Surely you and **what you worship besides Allah **
are the firewood of hell; to it you shall come. 21:98

yet the Quran says that Christians worship Jesus.

The conclusion is what the OP is asking about.

Thanks - but that verse sounds , well, strange enough -

Thanks for letting me know I typed the wrong verse.

I put post its in the pages and mark the post its., must be too many marks on them!

I started out with highlighting certian verses that made me go huh?
Then it got all yucky from being highlighted on both sides of the paper so I had to throw it out.

Now, I just use post its.

Thanks InJesus for pointing that out. Are you aware of it anywhere else in the Koran? If Jesus (Peace is Him) is going to hell or we are anywhere else in the Koran? or is this an “isolated incident”?

okay… so how does the correct sura says or even implies Jesus is going to Hell?

Jesus did not worship anything besides Allah did he?

the “you” = Christians
the what you worship…
Muslim - who do the Christians worship again?
Could it be Jesus?
