help wanted

very early this morning i found myself not fully asleep but with either a dream or a temptation in front of me. i found myself trying to avoid it but i ended up wanting it and keeping it really wanting to look. i ended up ejackulating.

my problem is i dont know what to do. how to judge this.

i dont think i was fully sleeping but i was trying to sleep.

i know i was trying to avoud it but not stopping it

do i confess this or not. i know what the priest will say that dreams are not sins but what if i wanted it and stoped trying to avoid it and then ejackulating happend. can some one help.

If you were dreaming, then it is not a sin. If you were awake, it was a mortal sin. If you were partially awake, it was either no sin or a mortal sin, because ‘partially awake’ is very subjective. If you are confused, just mention it in confession. No harm done.

I guess, I am not sure, it is night ejaculation. You dream something exciting and you ejaculate for the seminal vesicules are full.
Normal. No sin.

Then it seems that you sinned. You recognized it was sinful, and you ended up wanting it and looked up to the point of ejaculation. To me, it seems as if you sinned. Half-sleep dozy states are troublesome, I know, and I have had similar experiences, but for the most part I wake up the next day uncertain if that was even reality - which usually tells me that I had not much control or consent.

Either way, pick yourself up, dust off and become a new man once again in Christ.

Yes confess it. That is the best and simplest answer.
Don’t dwell on it and allow it to torment you and disturb your peace. Say an act of contrition, then confess it the next time you go to confession.
