Help with a Friend

Hey everybody! 🙂 If possible, I would like to ask some of you to pray for my friend. She is a cradle Catholic who recently began to be drawn away by evangelicals. That situation seems to be stabalized, but it is still one I worry about. The thing that is most problematic now is that she seems to not be paying enough attention to Christ. She is very busy and does not have much time, so she does not give much to Him. As a result, she has grown further and further from Him, and become very critical of others, she gets very angry when she is admonished, she often tries to escape from oppurtunities to hear things of Christ, and she is becoming more worldly. She is still much further along spiritually in that she does care a lot about God, but she seems to be forgetting that, and because of this she is not open to His graces. If you could pray for her, it would be very much appreciated. Also, if you threw me in there too that would be great, so that I am not a hypocrite or too judgemental, and that I may be humble with her. I didn’t want to do this, but it has gotten bad enough that I need this. Thanks a lot :cool:

What do you mean by she doesn’t give Christ enough time? Has she given up on devotions that are meaningful to her? When you say “more worldly” do you mean in the way that she is spending time dealing with worldly issues, or that she is compromising values? I ask these things of curiosity and in case it helps isolate any of the issues; a response is only necessary if you think it’s relevant.

I join everyone here in offering prayers for your friend’s relationship with God and your ability to effectively minister to her and thank all of you who have prayed.
