Like he said, y’all can’t seem to figure the “hot drinks” out. Some say it’s the caffeine, but if you are honest, it’s not about that at all. (Even you said that people are drinking decaf.) Unfortunately, that “drinking of decaf” doesn’t make coffee or tea (herbal, which has no caffeine or decaffeinated) acceptable. It is still unacceptable. (Even when new medical studies show that drinking even caffeinated coffee and/or tea is beneficial!) BTW, chocolate has caffeine, but as far as I can see, y’all don’t turn down hot chocolate. Haven’t figured that out.

But I digress. We’ve had 2,000 years of unbroken succession of Popes. You might find someone who was not perfect along the way. None of us are perfect human beings.

The trouble with your argument (the glaring inadequacy) is that the Pope didn’t found his own religion; God founded the Catholic Church; the Popes just carry it forward, and will continue to carry it forward until the end of Time.

Joe Smith DID create his own religion - about 1, 840 years after God created the one true Church.

Joe Smith and his church leaders were about as much as prophet as Jim Baker was.

But thats’ OK. Who cares what their girations are in the ‘religious’ world, one thing for certain is that they are not “Christian”.

D, mormons are not “Christian”. They are not even close. The do not follow the same Jesus Christ of the Bible and they do not follow Christine Docrtine. Just one quick example - Jesus was born by miraculous birth by the Virgin Mary. Mormons however believe God impregnated Mary by the usual means.

But it’s not the fault of mormons that they’ve been led so far astray - it all started with Joseppi Smith.

They can call themselves “Christian” all they want and I can call myself “Wilt Chamberlain” all I want. Sadly, we’re both just practicing fakery and deceit.

Just tell the LDS elders that you all want to call yourself “Smithians” and mormonism can skip along without any religious criticism. They’ll still be an oddball cult, but at least they’ll drop the “Christian” charade.

Your good friend brought up Bring’em Young, as he named him. I just brought up Pope John XIII. That’s all. Of course we can also bring up Pope Benedict VI who was John XIII successor. He was the illegitimate son of a monk. And to my understanding, when he was pope, many French, English, and Spanish ladies were suduced and stayed on as prostitutes. Pope Benedict was strangled for his wickedness.

I really don’t like these types of games that we are playing but you really must reign in your friend, Lawrence. He is insulting to say the least.

Who cares about their character? (and this is an internet forum, who knows if they’re actually Catholic, Mormon, etc). Is that why we’re here, to judge the character of others? Remember, you don’t have to post if you don’t like it here, and you can report someone if you think they need to be reported (as can the Mormon posters. If the Catholics would report a Mormon for saying something, the Mormons can report Catholics as well). You don’t have to tell other people what to do in reference to other posters. Do what you think you need to do. If someone else doesn’t feel it’s necessary to admonish someone, whatever. And really, the constant discussion of what the Catholics are and aren’t doing and saying (which seems to happen in every thread you post in) on a thread is also “hijacking”.

You’re behaving just like the person that you are attempting to admonish, then claiming that you “don’t want to do it”, as if he’s forcing you to bring up Catholic Popes and their behavior. I’m hoping the mods close down this thread as I’ve already reported it.

many contradictions there are in the Mormon occult and its members! yes there are more than one lds president including JS and BY that say the catholic church is ungodly. I am an exmormon who is verry well aware of the teachings in the texts and along with the teachings of the congregations, though you will not find them in the book of mormon itself but will find writings from (false) prophets of the LDS occult.

On another note, the whole thing about the wives of the occult, everyone should read the book called “the 26th wife” this was written by Brigham Youngs wife (26th) and the horrors that no mormon wants anyone to read! and again as I have mentioned before everyone should pick up the DVD’s “the Bible vs. the book of mormon” and “the book of mormon vs. DNA” you can also pull it up on youtube! these are great tools for exposing the occult!

It being an occult is a fact not an opinion. Please look up the definition of an occult and also what disqualifies a group from being christian.

Because they believe ther is mor than one God, because they believe they can become a God, because they believe that God has a wife, and so on and so on labels them an occult! It is an occult and it should be addressed that way to help better assure the chances of salvation for those who are not aware!
