Years ago, when my wife left me, I had 5 maxed out credit cards,
Bank was close to taking away our house etc etc,
I had no idea of Finance ,not a clue how to Budget,
I was Dyslexic so that made things hard, what was I to do ??
I bought a School exercise book, and wrote out each bill, so I then knew how much money was going out, balanced that against what was coming in , then I knew what direction money was going, I made things very simplistic, and threw out anything that wasn’t relevant
I worked out my own system, after 3 years, I was debt free , just need to create a plan that works for you , good luck

Our family has been in a very tight financial situation for a number of years and it looks like we are beginning to find a way out, God willing. We’ve been sitting down and going over the budget. I had liked running everything through credit cards, and paying them in full, because I had that record of what got spent where. Cash always just evaporated for me, and I really resisted changing for a long time. But I’m finding I really like the cash envelope method for reining in my spending, and I keep an expense log sheet to track where all the cash gets spent.

It is hard to budget theses days with unexpected medical or emergency car or home repairs debts, so I do feel for you. You may need to make a few sacrifices foe a while so as cable, cell phones or pare down the services . How did we ever survive without cable, cell phones or smart phone$$?? After a bit you will find you don’t really miss them and life becomes a lot more productive. It is only advise, but I will pray for you. Peace…

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.
You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means.
