Most Eastern Christians agree that the outfit should be avoided.

I can recommend a few sources for you. Certainly our brother dcointin has made a good recommendation as well.

Icon and Book Service, one should check out the book lists there too. It will expand your mind. This is a small real Catholic monastery that could use yoiur support.

Light and Life. Well respected reseller.

Hermitage of the Holy Cross. Small Orthodox monastery that could use your support.

The most delightful incense I know of is Gloria incense sold by [ACROD](http://www.orthodoxgoods.com/gl(name removed by moderator)r31lb.html). Some Eastern Catholic parishes purchase this. One normally has to purchase the charcoal for heating the incense, but I have actually put incense in a butter melter in days past with a tealight underneath, and it was nice (although certainly not strong).

Parish bookstores. Many Eastern Catholic and Orthodox parishes have places to purchase icons in little rooms off the narthex, the basement or parish hall after liturgy.

I just checked out the orthodoxinfo link, and that’s some pretty scary stuff.

Do look for these. You needn’t go to Liturgy to visit their bookstore, tho you might want to do so. 🙂 You can browse get some suggestions from them and keep your tax dollars in your community. 😉 Also, many parishes EC and Orthodox have their annual glendi/bazaar/festival and usually have a “book store” set up there. It is getting late in the year for these now but for future reference.

I don’t have time to link every one of them, but you can get the links from the resources page of our website for all of these EC/EO stores and services. I am working on the page design, but it is currently in the bottom of the left column.
