(not to rot in this apartment) hi guys. im asking for prayers because for the past year, the apartment i live in has been a prison for me, i dont know what to do, but its very cheap because its subsidized, and i am on waiting lists at all different places, but that takes years, i am on SSI disability, i want to get a job, have a car, have a girlfriend and friends, and live a healthy productive fruitful life, i live alone, and thats pretty much how it stays, i rarely get company, i am trying to move to a more city area then out here in the woods, but i make little and pay little for rent and need the rest of that money to live on, on the other hand i have a home and a roof over my head and am blessed that way,i guess im asking for your pray for a miracle for me. for me to move out of these housing projects and into a regular home. i could go on and on but im sick of watching life pass me by while the world goes on outside and every day is new for everyone in it, its the same **** like a prison cell apartment. PLEASE JESUS, MARY & JOSEPH INTERVIEN IN MY LIFE?

God bless,
Kevin G.

Praying for you with Bible verses for the day from the Liturgy of the Hours website, Universalis:

Mid-morning reading (Terce) Jeremiah 29:11,13 ©
I know the plans I have in mind for you – it is the Lord who speaks – plans for peace, not disaster, reserving a future full of hope for you. When you seek me you shall find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Noon reading (Sext) Jeremiah 30:18 ©
The Lord says this: Now I will restore the tents of Jacob,
and take pity on his dwellings.

why don’t you come over to the “for seniors and shut-in” group.
i think you will find it helpful.

Lord thank You for the blessings that Kevin has though he also feels heavily the restrictions of his life. You know what is possible for him.
We ask that Kevin can find his way to the true good that You desire for him and for others through him.
Thank You, Lord

funny that that verse was for today 🙂

Lord Jesus Christ, kindly bless Kevin with Your grace, that he may marvel in the glory of our Heavenly Father’s creation, and be freed from his restlessness and anxiety. Dear Lord, give him strength and hope, and guide him as he seeks a new home, that he may do Your holy will, and celebrate Your gifts of live and love with family and friends. Amen.

If you haven’t already done this, try doing one small thing every day to improve your well-being, for example being kind to yourself, living in the present (not beating yourself up about the past) and if you can, get some exercise, even exercise within your own room. I know it’s easier to write than to do, but I speak from experience; it works for many people. Stay positive and keep asking for help as you’ve just done.

You are not really alone. Your guardian angel is your best friend, so ask him/her for whatever you need, and be alert for the answers which will surely come in due course. If you’ve had a baby in your arms, you’ll know that we are all so intrinsically perfect, the faults are superficial, like dross on the metal in the crucible. God will drive away imperfections but it does take time, so be patient with yourself.

Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kindgom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliever us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.

If you have a computer, you can get a phone through google talk. Call EVERY week to the places you’re interested in. Call your disability counceller to see if you can be bumped on a list. Go to a doctor and have him/her diagnosis your depression so you can be put as a higher priority. Call open apartments on Craig’s list to see if they’ll accept section 8/disability. Research the process so maybe a private renter who’s inclined will let you. Call your landlord and see if he has any more appropriate proplerties.

And my prayer are with you.
