Can anyone help me? I’m starting to put together our Nuptial Mass programs, and being a convert, most of my family is Lutheran. Because of this, I want to put the words that are sung in Mass in the program so they know what is going on.

When we met with our music planner she helped us pick the songs but didn’t tell me where I can find the words.

So, for the Holy, Memorial Acclamation and Great Amen we went with the St. Louis Jesuits Mass. I’m having troubles finding the words and such because I don’t know what I’m looking for. I’m a pretty new Catholic and so am not familiar with terms for Mass.

For instance, are these the correct words? hymnprint.net/index.cfm?go=cCatalog.showCatalogByMass&mass=8 Although it doesn’t show the Memorial Acclamation, so I’m still lost on that one.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

You have to be careful when reprinting words to songs as they are copyrighted. To print them in a worship aid would be copyright infringement. You would have to contact the publisher and get permission to print them, which would of course come with a cost per song. Ask the music director where to find the music and then contact the publisher. I do know of people who got caught and fined for printing music without permission.

I understand copyright, I’m wanting just the words so I know what I’m working with.

I’m not needing the music, but would like the words typed in my program so they can follow along.

Our Parish doesn’t have the hymnals in the pews so even if I put a number, it wouldn’t help.

For instance, our Psalm is Psalm 34 so I put that the congregation responds with: “Taste and see the goodness of the Lord”

I have all the words to the St. Louis Jesuits Mass from the Sanctus to the Agnus Dei, due to the fact that I have the sheet music. I can pm the text to you. But you might want to double check with doing the Amen because it has “Amen, Alleluia. Forever and ever, forever alleluia. Forever and ever, Amen.” I know in many of the parishes where I work as a freelance musician, this isn’t allowed, so they use the Danish mass Amen or something else.
