Help with Praying the Rosary?

Please help. This last while when I have been praying the Rosary I got so distracted it feels like I haven’t said it right at all. The other day for example I was praying the Joyful Mysteries and while I was trying to meditate on the mysteries something said ‘rubbish’ or ‘not real’ & laughing then. The mystery this incident happened on was the Annuciation. This has happened with other mysteries and I have heard cursing aswell. It really annoy me and I find it hard to finish the Rosary then. Anyone have similar experiences?

I wouldn’t give it a second thought! It’s a wonder we can do anything at all during our days, I for one have a chaotic mind that races all over the place. During prayer, when I get distracted, simply dismiss the distraction by re-focusing on the prayer. If the distraction won’t go away, focus on each and every word of the prayer.

Oh, a good one, at the start of the prayer/rosary, ask for the extra help and grace from the Holy Spirit to help you focus on the prayers.

I wouldn’t read too much into it, pray, recite the rosary, focus on the mysteries, all good.

No, I’ve not had those specific distractions. The most precious prayer is when we turn from back to God from our distractions so don’t worry about it.

All of us experience distractions of one sort or another during our times of prayer so don’t be overly concerned about this situation. Shrug it off, continue on, and rest assured that your prayer is heard.
