Help With Sex in Marriage!!!

Hey guys,

I’m a young 20 year old with a serious girlfriend. I know the Catholic Church is opposed to any type of birth control within marriage and I agree. I was just wondering, when exactly can one have sex in marriage then? Do you have to have 20 children? I’m confused. Are there any periods of the year where the woman is infertile? Any help is appreciated, thank you!

To answer one of your questions, the average woman has about two weeks of completely infertile time every month. You absolutely must understand the mechanics and biology of the cycle or you won’t be able to practice Natural Family Planning, nor will you be equipped to recognize what’s going on if there is a health issue with her reproductive system.

and if one has a serious reason to avoid conception that month…or longer period or even indefinatly…then one can use NFP to avoid…by abstaining when the wife is fertile…

it can be reasons such as finances…health…psych…etc something serious though not just cause one just has to buy that new yacht…
