My partner and I ended a pregnancy 10 years ago and we still cannot find peace with our decision. We would like to find resources that will enable us to reconcile ourselves with god and the church. This has been tearing us up please help.

It's called confession. Like I said in another post, find a good priest, look him square in the eye and pour your heart. I did, and I am so glad I did.

Confess, I dunno if you can do it as a couple, but I wouldn’t be surprised. The great thing about God is he’s ALWAYS forgiving. Pray for the soul of your dead child, the souls of all children who die in that horrific manner 😦

Confession first, and then look up “Project Rachel”…I think it’s like a church outreach program for people who have had abortions. Might be worth looking into. Good luck.

You will never “find peace with your decision”, but you will be able to find forgiveness from God and from yourselves.

Dear Taccem,

I agree that the only way you can find peace is through confession and thinking about God as father who receive again with joy his lost son and forgive and forget our sin. Moreover, think that Jesus, with his death, has taken the guilt of ALL our sins on his shoulders. That’s the only way you can find pace. But if this is not enough I would advice to actively take part in some group engaged in pro-life activities.

Pray for me, I am also a sinner.

Jose

Get in touch with Priests for Life, they have something called silent no more, this is where women and men tell people the truth about the pain that abortion causes. You can help others not to have to deal with the pain and agony that you are dealing with right now. your testimony may even be a factor in saving a childs life.God Bless you,Lisa
