It’s really tough…I can sympathize.
I was denied admission to a state school I applied to when I was 19 and trying to switch schools and, ultimately switch majors.
I ended up switching gears entirely and went and got my EMT certification. I got a great job almost immediately after passing the test and had full time work with benefits for 8 years.
I’m not saying he should do that but at least there are other options out there. He just needs time to seethe, steam, vent…whatever.
I’m going back to school at the same college I was denied admission to 10 years ago. This time I have one year of stellar grades at a local community college, I’m in the military and my SAT scores are totally obsolete.
I’ll certainly send some prayers his way. He just needs time to clear his head, hang out with his guy friends and blow off some steam.
His break is there…he just doesn’t see it yet.
Can he earn an associate’s degree at a community college and transfer?
