Helping in the church; am I wrong?

I asked to clean our church Free of charge and that would releaive us from paying a non member 160.oo a week and my request turned down. I feel betrayed and a little bitter. I may start attending another Catholic church because of this. Am I wrong?:confused:
 
Hi,

You needn’t take this as a personal affront. Have you considered that the parish is hiring the other person because he or she very much needs the $160? Whether or not that person belongs to the parish, he or she belongs to God and is a part of us. How fortunate for you that you don’t need that money. Gratitude heals resentment.
