Helping the Souls in Purgatory

A couple of recent articles brought to my mind the need for praying for and offering Masses for the holy souls in purgatory. It is a duty which I have unfortunately neglected lately. We are all in the communion of saints together and must help one another.

An excellent use of our prayers and our suffering! I try to balance the souls in purgatory with offerings for the conversion of sinners. The souls in purgatory, although suffering the refining fire of purification, have certain joy in that suffering, as they are assured of heaven. What Christian would not want to believe this?
