I recently read “Pax Vobiscum” online, and it made sense to me, and gave me some new ideas. One of the first sentences of this writing states:
“This want of connection between the great words of religion and every-day life has bewildered and discouraged all of us”
and this really connected for me, because it is something that I struggle with.
At The site that I was reading had a collection of writings in “New Thought” .I have never heard of this movement before. I have a copy of a Vatican Document :

and I found “New Thought” defined as:
New Thought:a 19th century religious movement founded in the United States of America. Its origins were in idealism, of which it was a popularised form. God was said to be totally good, and evil merely an illusion; the basic reality was the mind. Since one’s mind is what* causes* the events in one’s life, one has to take ultimate responsibility for every aspect of one’s situation.
Well a red flag went up,I have no doubt that evil exists and I am wondering if reading material by Henry Drummond would be a “safe” thing to do. There also seems to be a lot of excitement over a writer named Emmet Fox.
