The word “hope” can be found more than 100 times in the Bible. “Guarenteed” is in the Bible two times.
We as Catholics, are confident in the “hope” of our Salvation. However, any mortal sin, not forgiven will separate us from Salvation.
Salvation in not Guaranteed, as long as we have free-will. To believe otherwise is to believe in pre-destination or pre-destiny. This belief is anti-Biblical and in error.
Catholics pray, “Lord have mercy, Christ have Mercy”
Non-Catholic Christians, who believe in “Once Saved Always Saved” (OSAS), believe that they already have God’s mercy and that God will never take it away, regardless of any sins committed after being “Born-Again”.
Am I wrong?
