Here is why freemasonry is a christian organization.

Third Attempt:

Hope you can follow this train of thought.

Catholics are NOT ALLOWED to accept/support the King James version of the Bible. NOT EVER. If some Catholics in your area are doing so, then they are in grave error as Catholics and in fact, acc to Church Law, they are not free to receive Holy Communion until and unless they have confessed their error and broken away from the Masons. I’m sorry if you are being giving bad (and mistaken) example in regard to this teaching, but it is not a new teaching. Catholics do NOT accept the King James version of the Bible. So even based on your example alone, true Catholics can NEVER become Masons. Do you grasp that teaching yet?

By their very practice of “welcome, here’s your KJV,” the Masons are flagrantly anti-Catholic.
Well to say anyone who follows the KJV bible translation is not a christian is the most arrogant thing I think I have heard. The bible is the bible. If some versions are slighty different than others so be it, we are all christians cant’ we all get along?

No man should be critized for interpeting scripture a way different then another. He believes in God and Christ as our savior. We should all love our fellow christians.

Hey! Dude! Think. Use your BRAIN.

We are to love EVERYONE, not just “fellow Christians.”
What you’re saying is non-Christian thinking and teaching.

Love God.
Love our neighbor.
Who is our neighbor?
Enter story of Good Samaritan, etc…

Catholics do NOT accept the KJV of the Bible. It is defiective and deficient. It has eliminated entire BOOKS that are in our other standard Bibles. Why don’t you know that??? I can promise you that masonic leadership knows it.

Why are you here at a site called Catholic Answers? So far you have posted about the masons in every one of your posts. I know that masoinc membership is way down but do imagine you’ll win followers by insulting Catholics here? What’s your story? You haven’t asked for any Catholic answers re the masons, have you? You’ve made ridiculous generalizations instead, the type of generalizations that make me wonder if you are a part of any religion besides what you’ve called “Protestant.” Who teaches that Christians are to love all fellow Christians? We are to love ALL humanity. Get with the program - and forgive my rudeness while you’re at it. You can’t claim masons accept all when they insist Catholics must accept a non-Catholic Bible.

Do you grasp that fact yet?

:tiphat:Well said, I have stated that before only to be shot down by a so called Catholic:hmmm:

Well most historians will thell you the KJV is the most accurate interpetation of scripture their is. The other versions scew the word of God too much.
Most historians do not support your notion, I am sorry to say. It’s not accurate (or else there wouldn’t be a need for the NKJV). It is beautiful in its use of archaic language–then again, so is the Douay-Rheims, so why not use the Douay-Rheims? And many will still take issue with the number of books in it, since the Bible as originally made had 73 books, not 66.

when did freemasonry ever say you had to accept the KJV version?

I don’t remember that. If you want to use a different version on your own that is fine.

I am sure many masons use other versions other than KJV in their homes and in their churches.

Never in the masonic cermony do we say you have to use the KJV.

You are just inculcated to know and learn the bible. Whatever version you choose is your business.

I don’t know all the rules but I am sure if a candiate asked to recieve a different version then the KJV we would be more then happy to give it to them.

Show me where in our ceremony where we demand all members to follow only the KJV? That claim is ludicrous and I don’t know where you got that from.

For the record, what set me off is your misquoting me.

When did I ever say or even imply that the KJV of the Bible is non-Christian? NEVER. I have said and do now repeat: It is incomplete and therefore inadequate. Catholics do NOT accept it.

I’ve though it often, now I’ll say it: I’d rather see my adult son dead than see him living as a member of the masons. I think masonry is THAT bad? Yes. I do.

You are right you did not say it, but you implied it, this was very crystal clear.

How many different translations can be purchased as a Masonic Bible?

Uh, Royal Princeman? You said it. YOU.

“New members are given a King James version of the bible and told it is their duty to know it from the inside out.” Refresh your memory woth a glance back at YOUR Post # 1.

You are right you did not say it, but you implied it, this was very crystal clear.
You said something - crystal clear. (KJV to each new member.)

I implied nothing - although to you it was crystal clear?

How is your thinking process moving along? Do you think? Will you think?

Ok you know well what I meant. It just doesn’t apply to King James. We mean the Bible in general. If they want to learn the bible using a different translation that is perfectly acceptable. Stop scewing my words.

No. I don’t know what you meant. I know only what you said.
You are a total stranger. How would I know what you meant?

I do get the sense though that you’ve been a member here for ONE DAY with the singular intention of promoting your own unquestioned loyalties to the masons. How sad for you.

Catholics are forbidden to join the masons.

The End.

What do you make of this link? Freemasonry as a religion?

Why is this different than what you say?
Freemasonry explicitly and openly states that it is neither a religion nor a substitute for one. “There is no separate Masonic God”, nor a separate proper name for a deity in any branch of Freemasonry.[53][54]
Regular Freemasonry requires that its candidates believe in a Supreme Being, but the interpretation of the term is subject to the conscience of the candidate. This means that men from a wide range of faiths, including (but not limited to) Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Sikhism, Hinduism, etc. can and have become Masons
According to everything that I have found, the fact that you would exclude non-Chistians is very un-Masonic, if not against the rules

Nope just what our lodge believes all lodges have different standards. Our lodge preserves the ancient masonry ideals. And that is it origionally was an only christian organization. If you look back historically hundreds of years, you will find that to be true.

Ah. Well, it makes sense in that freemasonry is a european invention. What about admitting non-Whites?

Separate lodges for whites and non-whites.
The ol’ “separate but equal” thing, ya’ know?

This is more the case in southern states then in the northern states.

Knights of the Columbus is the exact same way. My uncle says their is not one member in his local KoC that is black. You would be hard pressed to find any black KoC members in my area. So just don’t single out the masons. This has more to do with what region of the country you come from and not the organization itself. I am sure things are different in the northern states.

Well, there is truth in this. Here in Alabama, there are a lot of White only lodges. Historically, Freemasonry had two divisions: one for Christian whites and one for Christian Blacks.

As far as the KoC go, is it because there are not many Black Catholics in the area, or is it because they exclude them?

Yup and sure enuff. Pretty hard to find black KoC members where it’s VERY hard to find black Catholics at all. Or white Catholics too, for that matter. The South is not known for its welcome of Papists, huh? Or of blacks or Jews either.

Lest I forget to say it, I think that masions might be one of the most dangerous organizations in the western world and I thank God that the group is shrinking every year. IMO, it is divisive, discriminatory and it lives according to a hidden agenda. In no way is it a “Christian” organization. My experience is that Catholic families who have been in this country over many generations know - all too well - the real nature of masonry. The word ‘bigotry’ comes to mind followed by ‘favoritism’ and ‘financial pacts for gain.’
