Here we go again!!!

Help!! After only two years of parish closings, twinnings, triplings, etc, we have learned we are going to go through it again in our deanery. We are in the diocese of Toledo, Ohio, and we are already twinned with another parish. But due to the priest shortage, there may be three parishes being served by just one priest. We have five parishes in our country, which is a mostly rural and farming area. Please pray that we may have just one more priest to help us. God Bless and Happy and Blessed Easter…

Oh God we earnestly beseech thee
to bless our diocese with many
priests, deacon, brothers, and sister
who will love thee with their whole strength
and gladly spend their entire lives
to serve thy church and make thee known and loved.
Bless our families, bless our children
choose from our homes those who are needed for thy work
Mary, mother of vocations pray for us
that our families hear the calling of your son Jesus

We pray this after our intentions at every mass. We too just went through a consolidation.

I am sorry this is happening to you. Does your parish do adoration on a regular basis.

Adoration Rhymes with Vocation.

My mothers church hasn’t produced a priest in over 50 years…while other even smaller parishes have produced more than one. One will find a common thread among parishes that produce priests…that is traditional devotions and the likes of Adoration. The more the Adoration the great the chance of vocation.
