Hello all,

I just thought I would update all of you, for those that remember me anyway. We have had the baby. He’s 8 months old now, and things for us financially, are back into the pits. It’s horrible, we literally have 58 dollars to our name. We are in a different house and things were going okay in the behining, now we are 2 months behind. I’m pretty sure we will be kicked out, even when my husband gets back to work, it’s going to take us a few months to catch back up to everything.

In short, I give up. I’ve prayed, gone to mass, remained hopeful, had my baby didn’t give him up, I never aborted my children, and I feel like I’m being punished for it. I said I would update I believe, and even if I didn’t, I wanted to thank you all for your prayers and helpful words when I was down. But, I guess God has given up on us.

Have you looked into all available public assistance?

I think this post from the lovely Simcha Fisher might do you a lot of good:

patheos.com/blogs/simchafisher/2015/04/17/the-day-i-bought-steak-with-my-food-stamps/

Her family is larger now, but at the time of the events she was writing about, she probably had around 5-6 kids. Basically, she was you (at least financially and with regard to quality of life).

Best wishes!

You don’t know how many times we have said "I wonder how TSB4 is? Wonder where she went?
You have been in our prayers.
Yes, you have.
God has not given up on you. He doesn’t do that. I don’t know and can’t predict what the future holds for you…but being faithful always is the best way. And you have been faithful.
I’m so proud that you had your baby, and I hope he is a source of love and joy fro all of you.
Praying that your husband can find a great job, and you remain in your home without difficulty. Do look into public assistance, food stamps, WIC vouchers, everything you can.
Go to the health department. Go to the St. Vincent DePaul Society in your zip code.
Tell the priest wherever you are that you need help. He can get the word out to people who will come forward with help.
I’m so glad you wrote. Keep the faith. Something will come through.

Everything pianistclare said, and on that first sentence, that makes two (and I suspect a LOT more than two) of us.

I’m so glad you had your baby. There’s a Jewish proverb to the effect of “he who saves a life, it’s as if he saved the world.” It refers to saving not only that person’s life, but all of his children, his children’s children, the people who they positively influence, and so forth. You did that.

Beautifully stated. She’s in our prayers, and pray that she can get some assistance SOON.
Wish you were near to us, OP.

God has not given up on you. As you have seen there are several people here who have not given up on you, and God is so much greater than us all. I will continue to pray for you.

You and your family are in my prayeres. God has a plan and you are part of it. Just search for His voice and follow His plan.
