Is it ok to have earthly role models/heroes like a family member or close friend?

Why wouldn’t it be? As long as you are not worshiping them and/or making them more important than God in your life. It is healthy to have people we look up to…as long as we look up to those people for the right reasons:thumbsup:**
 
Absolutely! That is one of the great parts of our faith! We have a wealth of thousands of saints who’ve come before us…who have walked the same path we strive to follow, who have gone through the trials, tribulations, persecutions, sufferings, joys, and amazements of the Christian life. God gives us holy people to inspire us to strive for holiness in our own lives 🙂
