Okay. I am so into HEROS on NBC. Partly because it’s one of the few shows that doesn’t involve either medical crisis or lawyers. Hiro is our house favorite! Poor fella. I hope he doesn’t goof and send himself to prehistoric times when he finally gets his hands on that sword. Did you know you can actually call the number on that card that Clare’s dad gave Mohundi? No, I did not do that. It’s all the buzz at the HEROS forum that I glanced at for a good laugh. I didn’t even register to chat with them because I really don’t have much time anymore for this forum, much less another one. And of course, I wouldn’t leave CAF!

If it were not on at the same time as 24 then perhaps I would give it a chance. I might rent it when it comes on dvd if it is worth watching.

Hubby and I love it. We finally got a PVR so can record it. Very handy since we can rarely watch more than 5 or 10 minutes of anything before Lily decides it’s enough, lol.

Great show, love it! Did you know that George Takei (Sulu from Star Trek) will guest star as Hiro’s father? And Christopher Eccleston, who recently played the 9th Doctor Who also joined the cast as Claude the “invisible man” we saw at the end of the last episode.

Oooh! Me! Me! I love watching Heroes!!! Great show! Unbelievably great IMO.

Another Dr. Who star will join the cast soon with Eric Roberts, who formerly played the Master in the Fox-produced TV movie with the 8th Doctor. Of course, he’s probably more famous as Julia Roberts’ brother.

**Okay, now I’m curious who is Dr. Who and how many of them are there? I saw the invisible guy at the end of the last episode, but he wasn’t familiar at all to me. I didn’t even know Julia Roberts has a brother.😃 **

We love it in our household too! It is one of the few shows my DH & I will watch together. He is a comic book fan though, so it is right up his alley.

My husband is a Heros fan, and he got my daughter hooked at Christmas. They sat down and watched the entire first season.

We are both Dr. Who fans.

Dr. Who is a popular British science-fiction series about a time/space traveler that ran for like 25 years from the 60’s through the 80’s and then was revived in 2005 with the actor now on Heros (though I did not recognize him at first with his beard and long hair). There is now a 10th Doctor played by David Tennant (Barty Crouch, Jr. from Harry Potter part IV).

The original series used to air on PBS staions here in the States and the new series is on the Sci-Fi Channel. See more info here: drwho-online.co.uk/

ahhh, thank you. I’m hopelessly pop culture illiterate.:o

I tried to watch it last week? when the new season started. But, in truth, I was unable to get into it. I am a big sci-fi/fantascy buff, Stargate SG-1 (now discontinued 😦 ), X-Men, etc. but found Heros to be not as entertaining. Maybe I’ll give it another chance though.

I don’t see how you could pick it up halfway through this season(this is still season 1), you gotta start from the beginning.

I have been watching since the beginning and like the show very much. I like how several character’s imply that their abilities and what they are supposed to do with them are a part of divine providence and they seem to focus more on that then something like X-men where it was all about evolution.👍

I never could get in to 24, alway’s seemed hokey to me, bunch of screaming explosions and people looking really concerned all the time. I am eagerly awaiting the return of Lost too as I am pretty confident things are going to really start coming together and being revealed the second half of this season. Lost and Heroe’s seem to me to explore deeper themes where 24 seems to be a simple action/suspense us against the terrorists show.

I apologize if I mixed season up. Perhaps it is still season one. I know that a friend suggested me watching it 2 Fridays ago because it was a new episode. Anyway, as I said, perhaps I will give it another look. The only thing that I walked away with from the episode that I watched was that MANY people had all sorts of abilities and for me (a new comer) it was hard to keep track of who had what. I’m sure that if I had watched from the beginning, I would know the characters better and this wouldn’t be an issue. God bless.

I’m in. We love this show! I enjoy Hiro also. I tape 24 because it’s the same ol stuff week after week - though can’t give it up yet - I do love Jack.

I also think you can’t just hop into the show at this point. The writers spent several weeks developing characters - and there are tons of them.

What I do enjoy is that they are still displaying the names of each character - for the most part - when they start a new segment with that character.

i was the geek in junior high that went to a Dr. Who convention. Loved that show … no commercials. 🙂

We LOVE this show!!! Dh and I rarely watch the same shows, but this one has us both hooked. Hiro is our favorite (when he says something adorable, we actually rewind the DVR to see it again).😃 Great show!

You can actually watch all the episodes online now at nbc.com/Heroes/.

I love the show too. Who wouldn’t love Hiro? Seriously! And the best part is that I bet they won’t kill him off since he’s the “title character.”

But could we please get them to stop killing off characters I like and enjoy watching? And what does Sylar have against girls in particular? He’s killed Charlie, Eden and “the cheerleader” (thankfully Claire was saved). Am I missing any other victims? I know there were news reports about other victims who were never characters on the show…

I love that show and I am looking forward to the episode tonight. Hiro is my favorite as well. I was wondering whether anyone on here was a Hero’s fan.
