**I was raised Roman Catholic but my family was not strong in the faith. I’m 20 and have only been to confession 3 times in my life; at each confession I knowingly with held mortal sins. Over the past year I have been studying my faith and truly love it.
I’m trying to prepare myself for confession; I have even made a list (which is pretty long). I finally built up the courage to go but when I went the priest didn’t show up!! Now, I’m starting to get intimidated again. My problem is, is that there are a lot of sins that I’m so ashamed and embarrassed to say. I live in the south in a small town surrounded by other small towns and I’ve been trying to find a church that has a booth just because I’m too much of a coward to do a face to face confession. How do I muster the strength to confess all these things that I’ve done?
