Hey, is there anybody here at CAF, who believes that Jesus Christ had biological brothers and can you prove it?
Thank you for your post Zenas,No, I don’t believe Jesus had biological brothers but I can’t prove it and neither can you…
##** I believe He did - apart from that I agree with you whole-heartedly **No, I don’t believe Jesus had biological brothers but I can’t prove it and neither can you. The best thing we have is tradition, which is not nearly as ancient as it ought to be for real reliability, and the circumstantial evidence presented in John 19:26-27.
Clearly, those who maintain the opposite POV would encounter similar frustrations in their search for the empirical truth of this matter.
That’s not very hard, but you can’t prove from scripture that Jesus did or did not have biological brothers. However, you can use scripture to eliminate two likely suspects, *i.e., *James and Joses. See John 19:25 and Mark 15:40.I will prove (in later posts here) that the Bible doesn’t prove that Jesus Christ had biological brothers …If that makes any sense…
Peace![]()
Yep…James…There are only two “James’” in the entire New Testament and they have different fathers. Neither James has Joseph “the carpenter” as their biological father, nor do they have, as their biological mother, the Virgin Mary. That’s not very hard, but you can’t prove from scripture that Jesus did or did not have biological brothers. Other than the fact that, had Jesus had brothers, he would have given his mother to them at the cross, I’m not aware of any real evidence one way or another. So, if you believe the BVM was ever-virgin, you would then accept that, obviously, he had no siblings. As a Lutheran, marion beliefs are not an article of faith, and therefore we are free to believe them or not. I do, for the most part, and so do not believe he did (have brothers).Hey, is there anybody here at CAF, who believes that Jesus Christ had biological brothers and can you prove it?
Your profile lists you as Catholic, yet you deny the Blessed Virgin’s perpetual virginity?##** I believe He did - apart from that I agree with you whole-heartedly **
**Conviction & proof are impossible if one’s mind is closed. That’s not a reproach - to function at all, we all have to close our minds to all sorts of things that people believe. **
Hello Rightlydivide,And when the brothers DO NOT follow him or believe him that makes them what Jimmy…
There are three James obvious…heck 100 years later , they said James was the son of Joseph by a different marriage, so you do not even agree with " Sacred Tradition"…

Luk 24:44
And he said unto them, These [are] the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and [in] the prophets, and [in] the psalms, concerning me.
Jesus quotes the Psalms
Jhn 15:25
But [this cometh to pass], that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
Psa 69:4
They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, [being] mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored [that] which I took not away.
Jhn 2:16-17
And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise. And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
Psa 69:9
For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
Psa 69:4-9
Psa 69 (4) They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, [being] mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored [that] which I took not away. (5) O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee. (6) Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.(7) Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face. (8) I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother’s children. (9) For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
