Hey, is there anybody here at CAF, who believes that Jesus Christ had biological brothers and can you prove it?

Nevertheless, the word “cousin” (anepsios) is used in the voice of the narrator, not in the voice of actual Jewish characters that would beg the incorporation of a Jewish idiom. Besides, Luke did not write his gospel for Palestinian Jews, unlike Matthew, which could also explain why he wrote in the Greek.

Catholic Planet is an interesting site, although it has nothing heretical, it has alot of speculation. But I enjoy the dude’s theories.

Catechism of the Catholic Church
**500 **Against this doctrine the objection is sometimes raised that the Bible mentions brothers and sisters of Jesus. The Church has always understood these passages as not referring to other children of the Virgin Mary. In fact James and Joseph, “brothers of Jesus”, are the sons of another Mary, a disciple of Christ, whom St. Matthew significantly calls “the other Mary”. They are close relations of Jesus, according to an Old Testament expression.
