HHS Mandate: A Blessing in Disguise?

The Bishops are for the first time (that I have ever noticed) taking a tough and united stand. A good part of the laity are peeved. The Catholic airwaves and blogs are awash with opposition as well. I am actually hearing the NO Church actively discuss the evils of birth control. I have even heard a few homilies about it. To bad it took the HHS Mandate to bring this about.

I have been trying to get my wife to stop using contraception for a long time. I think all the buzz has had an affect on her because she finally decided to have her IUD removed. This is a good thing! Perhaps more women will be moved to action. It amazing what happens when the Church actually speaks out!

So…we need good Catholic NFP resources.

Recommendations?
 
I was thinking of this the other day as well. Maybe some Catholics will examine what Church teaching really is and that could be a good thing.
 
My husband and I were just wondering the same thing a few days ago. This is one issue that, until now, was not very openly discussed, even within the church. Many people were simply ignorant of what the Church’s teaching actually is. Now many more people are getting educated on the subject. I hope that many more people will be able to learn the truth about contraception, and that in the end, many more people will come to appreciate sexuality as the beautiful gift it is.
 
I’d go to your diocese’ website and find out what classes they are offering in NFP in your area.
