nothing is stopping or encouraging you from “purchasing” at a discount or whatever, birth control. You can choose not to exercise that option. My current BCBS comes with the option of birth control. I don’t use it (well I had a hysterectomy, so that ship has sailed), but it’s there for those who want to use it.
The original question was about getting an individual plan without the birth control option. It appears from the HHS’s website that that is not an option.

I for one don’t need birth control, because the method I use (abstinence) is 100% effective…and FREE. 😛

I’ve never heard of a private, individual plan that gives the option to not cover immoral procedures and drugs like birth control or sterilization. Now Obamacare is not giving insurance companies a choice in what they cover. Even religious employers have to comply by January 2014. Us “non-religious” folk are already in the midst of the battle.

no they don’t.

Unless you own a business, like a hardware store or other retail or service business which “hire” non Catholics…then yes, you have to comply.

Why aren’t people getting that? It states it right in the HHS guide. The one I quoted came out of the NC Diocesan newspaper. Geez louise…

We’re chasing a rabbit with the “religious employer” bit. I’m not a religious employer. I’m a dentist. 🤷 My OP was to see what options are out there for my family since I am having to cancel my health plan through my business.
