Ever come across a hidden gemstone in scripture? Something which most people hardly notice but which blows you away?
The nation of Israel had just been released from Egypt. They camped at Mt. Sinai and Moses mediated a covenant between God and man. Moses read the law to the people and the people responded, ***“All that the lord has said we will do!” ***and so he sacrificed a bull and splashed the book of the law and the people with the blood, and the covenant was ratified. Then Moses and 70 elders go up on the mountain, and what happens next is amazing…
They saw God, and they ate and drank. (Exodus 24:11)
To me as a Catholic, this is an amazing scripture from 1500 years before our Lord Jesus Christ instituted the Eucharist. The first time I read this it totally blew me away.
Anyone else have anything?
