That’s certainly what he and his friends would like you to believe. True, Fr. Ambrose does not write comics. But they both hate Catholicism. Again, Jack is not a former Catholic. Jack is also less smooth, but the same hatred animates them. And, that is a terrible thing. They need our prayers. Further we shouldn’t be taken in just because the arguments are unctious. Hatred is fundamentally the same. So -it’s not absurd except maybe that Fr. Ambrose is more subtle.

If by that you mean he needs prayers and we should not withhold them - I agree completely.
If you mean he has no need for our special concern due to his plain hated of Catholicism and accusations - that I have to disagree with. He needs more prayer - not less.

Do you take Peter for a fool? Is it so incredible to you that he simply might disagree, even though he himself has likely interacted with Fr. Ambrose more than you have? We have all dealt with Fr. Ambrose in one way or another (crossing swords as one poster put it, and even the Orthodox posters have crossed swords with him at times). The intent of this thread was to offer prayers for a man dying of cancer. If you want to, why don’t you start your own thread asking for prayers for the return of Fr. Ambrose to Catholicism? I highly doubt, however, that you will even pray for that, because you, in hijacking this thread, have made your intentions all too clear, and they are far from Godly.

Well, it’s clear he disagrees…but, is certainly wrong as I pointed out. As for interacting with Fr. Ambrose, I have interacted quite a bit - and know him for what he is. I have no idea how much Peter has interacted. I do know many Catholics due to their ignorance of history, theology and argumentation have been taken in by Fr. Ambrose who, in my experience, was disingenuous or worse many times.
Yes, me too. I simply say he finally revealed his true self when he declared that Catholicism is a “vehicle of damnation.” Perhaps you agree with him? Many do - Jack Chick among them.
Good and I pray for him. Maybe if Hes did not want a debate he should have posted this in the prayer section? Or, does he have an ulterior motive?
We should all pray for Fr. Ambrose’s return to the True Faith. I hijacked nothing. Hes has been a member of this Forum for years - he knew where he posted this. That Fr. Ambrose exposed himself, and his true feeling and intentions, is not my fault.

Speaking personally I’m appalled at the outcome of a simple request for prayers for a man with untreatable cancer.
In the name of the Merciful Lord please cease all further comments other than offering prayers for this poor priest .
We cannot and should not question his beliefs and motives .
**Let us instead pray that the Lord will deal with him with mercy and compassion when Fr Ambrose faces Him at the Last and Final judgement

I question nothing - I simply posted a link to a site where he posted exactly what he thinks. And, what he thinks is pretty despicable. He certainly needs our prayers.
I certainly pray God in His mercy forgive Fr. Ambrose all his sins, bring him healing in accordance with His will, show him the error of his ways, and lead him back to Catholicism.

Enough. Both of us know exactly how this exchange will end, I will continue to doubt your sincerity, and you will continue to assert it. I hope, for the sake of your soul that your intentions are sincere and pure, and that you are not using prayer as a pretense to get some shots in at Fr. Ambrose, whom you clearly find to be disagreeable. If you are not being sincere, then may God spare you the misfortune he visited upon Ananias and Sapphira., who lied to the Holy Spirit. Nothing may be gained through any further correspondence.
