Note from Moderator:

I removed 59 posts made today to this thread by 11 posters. I am just as disappointed by those who responded to uncharitable remarks and turned this thread into a contentious debate as I am those who made the remarks in the first place.

With dozens or hundreds of people seeing this gross lack of charity on display, only two brought it to my attention, and only one of them refrained from joining in. Please review the Important Forum Information sticky at the top of the board including the post Thread go elsewhere? Someone being rude? Here’s what to do…
Likewise, if you believe someone is being rude, quoting and responding to it several times before deciding to ask me to step in makes my work more difficult because I have to remove the bits and pieces of the conversation that were offensive from the rest of the thread. An increasing hostility which you’ve tried to address fraternally can certainly be brought to my attention. Once the rules are clearly violated, please refrain from responding and instead bring it to my attention.
If a thread might go elsewhere, tell me!** If someone is disrupting a thread and violating the rules, tell me!** I can isolate the problem, often with a simple exchange of PMs, and allow the threads to charitably continue in their proper locations.
Problems with inappropriate content should be reported via the “Report Post” feature. Just click the http://forums.catholic-questions.org/images/buttons_cak/report.gif image in the problematic post and fill out the form.
The only appropriate responses to this thread are the sincere expression of condolences over the news of a terminal illness or prayers. I expect both to be offered in abundance and to be notified immediately if inappropriate posts return.

May God Bless You Abundantly,

O holy Father, heavenly Physician of our souls and bodies, who hast sent thine Only-begotten Son our Lord Jesus Christ to heal all our ailments and deliver us from death: do thou visit and heal thy servant, the Hieromonk Ambrose, granting him release from pain and restoration to health and vigor, that he may give thanks unto thee and bless thy holy Name, of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Dear Moderator,

I apologise for my own failing in this regard. However, I do feel there is at least a “tinge” of RC triumphalism here so to oppose/report those who point out another’s anti-Catholicism, even though that person has reposed, wasn’t something too many Eastern Christians would jump to - unfortunately.

I apologise also for any offence this response of mine to your important corrective may give.

May the Theotokos, Joy of All Who Sorrow, watch over and comfort him.

I am sorry to hear of this, belatedly. If it is not too late, please know he is in my prayers as well!

Give him my my condolences, and I pray he is kept comfortable, at least until his birth into eternal life.
