I see that back in 2017 someone brought up this topic. I think I can speak on this very well, as a person that was christened United Methodist and later raised and confirmed Presbyterian. First of all we have to remember that the founder of what is now called the Presbyterian faith was from Scotland. That was John Know who founded the Church of Scotland and was a former Roman Catholic Priest. This is a broad topic. There are low Presbyterian churches that are more informal and there are High Presbyterians that are actually pretty close in practice to Lutherans and some Episcopal and Anglicans. There are also Presbyterians that are becoming what is the norm of the younger generation and millennials in worship I will be giving you links to view services, churches and order of worship. This past last year for Reformation Sunday in New York City at Brick Church which is Presbyterian a Roman Catholic Priest spoke and at another Presbyterian in NYC Cardinal or Priest of the RC church spoke in the services. There was some wrong information given on others, so I would like to set the record straight. Most mainline Presbyterian Churches PCUSA, PCA etc use candles in worship, some process with a cross-bearer or crucifer, Many Presbyterian ministers now use albs and other vestments. Some will make the sign of the cross for benedictions. Ash Wednesday is celebrated by many with ashes imposed. There are Presbyterian churches that do celebrate Holy Communion every sunday. I will give you all this information. Hope this will help.
