Perfect example of how the devil works in these responses. Diversion from discussing the reality of demonic activity by nitpicking the number of exorcisms performed… Lord have mercy on us.
Are you accusing others of the Church’s failure to not vet the claims of their exorcists?

I think the Church has some minimal ethical guidelines that say before an exorcism there has to be an investigation to determine that their is indeed demon activity by ruling out natural causes for the symptoms. Without ruling out natural causes how do you know that a demon was involved. The claims being made go to center of the Church’s credibility and trustfulness on demonic activity.

ISIS is a demonic entity same as the National Socialists in Germany were and the Communists in Russia were. They are harbingers of pain and suffering with hatred and violence at the core of their ideology, and have no respect for the sanctity of human life.

The Church has these guidelines regarding solemn public exorcism.
When Father Amorth refers to 70,000 exorcisms, he is counting all exorcisms.

A private exorcism does not require faculties or investigation. The recipient of the exorcism doesn’t even have to know.

If you read the various interviews Fr. Amorth has given you will find that in the past few years he takes credit for performing 50,000 to 160,000 (depending on which article your read) exorcisms himself. I think the 160,000 number refers to the number of demons he claims to have sent back to hell but it is often unclear in the articles.

From the Vatican Insider:
The same applies to the most famous boy wizard on the planet, according to the cleric (Fr. Amorth), who has authored books that have been translated into 28 languages and has about 70,000 exorcisms to his name when, in 1986, he was assigned the job of exorcist of the Roman diocese.
From Medjugorje
“I think I must have carried out over 70,000 exorcisms in my lifetime.” Father Amorth
Are all the claims of non-Catholic exorcists credible?

I think you may be confusing saying a prayer over a sick person to ward off evil spirits with an exorcism. The prayer might not do any good but it won’t cause any harm either.

Anyone conducting a private or public exorcism without properly investigating for the true presence of a demon is unethical regardless of their standing in the CC.

I am not confusing anything. A prayer to ward off evil spirits is an exorcism. All prayer always does good.
Many sources can found which describe different types of exorcisms.
Here’s a quote from EWTN:
All are encouraged to participate in deprecatory “exorcism”, ordained or not, authorized or not, when necessary, but always, always in the name of Jesus and the Church.

70,000 exorcisms in 29 year may be a tiny bit exaggerated.

Do the math:

If the good Father preformed one exorcism a day for 29(yrs) x 365 (days per yr) that equals 10585 exorcisms. To get to 70,000 he would have had to preform an average of 6 exorcisms a day.

Another way: 70000/365 = 191.78 years.

For the record: ISIS is evil.
It’s possible. Exorcists can do multiple exorcisms a day. I learned a lot about exorcism from reading “The Rite: The Making of a Modern Exorcist”, and from what I learned from that book, I believe Fr. Amorth when he said he’s performed over 70000. Besides, what would he gain from exaggerating?

Couldn’t agree more. Nitpicking in the face of such overwhelming evil is a very human response unfortunately. This post and the ones juxtaposing our response to ISIS and abortion in our own culture are equally to the point. It is times like this that I feel the impotence of the individual. However, our response thankfully is limited to prayer. If I had power, I believe the results would be very ugly indeed.
