In a 62 page document callled Jesus Christ the bearer of water of life, it says Yoga, Zen, and Tantric Exercises lead to experiences of self fulfillment or enlightment according to the new agers.

And according to others, it’s just stretching.

Fr Amorth who is the Vatican Exorcist says Yoga, Zen, T.E. are UNACCEPTABLE to Christians.

Fr. Amorth also stated the devil has entered the Vatican.

According to Clare Merkle a former new ager and Practioneer there is NO SUCH thing as Christian Yoga.

The Physical postures have Occult significances and can trigger reeactions just as the breathing and mind word do.

The problem comes here because of “Wrong translation” of the word “Aasanam”,which is translated in English as “Posture” .Posture in Sanskrit is “Karanam”–“Aasanam” means “Seat”–When a guest enters into our house we offer a seat.In Yoga to whom we offer a “Seat” ? Hindu Religion says that Purusha (“God”) who is Universally present pervades through us also.“Anthar Bahischita Sarvam Vyaaptha Naaraayanam”.(Ref:- Vishnu Sahasranaamam)–A devotee offers his/her Somatic and Psychic body as various kinds of “Seat(s)”=Aasanam=> to God(Purusha) within us.If one reads Hatha Yogam by sri.Svaathmaaraamam–Aasanam–Mudra–Nyaasam–are all included.One can offer a “Psychic Body” (Sookshuma sareeram) “seat” also-No need for Somatic body (Sthoola Sareeram)“Seat”= Aasanam–“Rathnaihi Kalpitham Simha AASANAM” (Ref:-Siva Maanasa Pooja by Acharya SANKARA)–i can still give evidences that Aasanam is Spiritually connected.Any one may do Aasanams–but one can not say that it has No Religious Connotations.So what the Southern Baptist says is correct–it is Religion.
