Hint of suicide?

A classmate of mine from high school (we are now both freshmen in college) left a post on Facebook that said he just wishes life would end sometimes. He goes to a military school so is obviously going through a rough time. I don’t really know what to do. I left him a message and asked him if he was serious, and I left a friend of his a message as well, but neither of them have responded.
 
Are you close enough geographically to see your friend? The first year away from home is tough for everyone, but your friend sounds depressed. Call him.
 
I wouldn’t even go so far to call him a friend. We just knew each other from high school. I don’t even have his phone number.
 
I think you’ve done all you can WRT contacting him, as you don’t have a phone number for him. In the meantime, pray for him.
