Historical proof for Jesus?

My friend is beyond believing Jesus was God, she insists that He never even existed as a person, and was just a made up figure.

Lots more historical evidence I was led to believe there was. Thought it was just a rational argument based on the martyrdom of all the apostles. Thanks so much for the info everyone
