There is not much “history” going on at the History Channel anymore anyway. I call it the “Ancient Alien Channel” because that’s all they air anymore are shows with all sorts of “experts” claiming that aliens visited the earth in the ancient world. (Except at Easter time when they air the usual programs calling everything Catholic in to question) This ancient alien stuff is a religion all of its own. It’s pretty sad.

A secularist fails me from a course for stating Christ is God? And im somehow the loser in that argument? You need to rethink your whole idea of the faith. Cause its totally wrong

What if it’s your Muslim professor failing you because you didn’t claim Mohammed was Allah’s prophet? Does that make him a secularist?

Is that the same channel that ran a documentary about Pope John Paul II being the last pope many years ago?

The History Channel is good for things like WWII but when it comes to anything religious I avoid it like the plague.

To be fair, Jesus called himself a prophet (Mark 6:4, Matthew 13:57), Pope Francis is the last Pope, to be elected Pope. Seems they are guilty of sins of omission. The History channel is not a great place to learn about religion.

I second the person who says it’s not much of a History Channel. Last I checked, and it’s been a while, they had Ancient Aliens, Pawn Stars, Mayan Calendar Prophecies…etc…This will deal with the Prophecy of St. Malachi. A while back they did a show on it and I watched a little bit of it, but that was way back then.

So, yah, not much of History Channel. But again, how much would History actually sell? I don’t think C-Span gets much viewership and that’s History in the making.

Why are you supporting such dreck by watching it?
Everybody knows that History Channel has not been about History in many years, and that their typical show these days is on the order of “Hitler was an Alien from Outer Space” level of credibility.
Just turn it off.

Haven’t people said this about the last two popes as well?
When Pope John Paul II was in office, a non-Christian friend of mine who was really into Nostradamus and Edgar Cayce kept saying there were only 4 more Popes till the end of the world.
I don’t plan on worrying about it. My friend unfortunately passed away a few years ago so he doesn’t have to worry about it any more either.

So, only Christians can produce historical documentaries?
If it wants to be factually correct? Of course
LOL
But I agree with you BenjaminJ

If the historical accounts in the (Christian) bible are true, then a secular historical documentary which differed from the bible would be therefore be inaccurate/incorrect.

Good secular history
…There were (real historical) people who saw a (real historical) person named Jesus perform acts which real people actually did believe were evidence of the supernatural.

Poor secular history
…miracles are impossible. God doesn’t exist. Therefore stories about Jesus are fabrications spread by people with sinister motives

'Fraid so. I went and checked the program guide on TV, and that’s exactly what this nonsense is.
le sigh
Well, considering most of the channel is based around Ice Road Truckers and Ancient Aliens, what more would you expect?

😁 I must say, I do prefer Ancient Aliens to the abuse of poor St Malachy.

It’s really quite a shame. I used to like the History Channel when it was actually about… you know… history.
