Did anyone else get to watch the History Channel Special on the Book of Exodus?

I’m just wondering how much of the science that they presented can, in fact, be reconciled with the biblical accounts of the story of the Exodus from Egypt.

Does the fact that science can prove stuff happened by moving the timeline change anything in our understanding of biblical history?

Just wondering.

I watched that and found it interesting. But, I think that it is more in the realm of entertainment than substance.

There is so much about the past that we can’t ever see or understand. It is fasinating and wonderful to look but we are only seeing the past through a tiny knothole.

I love history and am a genealogy buff but I know there are limits to this endeavor.

I thought about watching, but I opted not to because too many times, I get mad because they seem to spend so much energy on disproving things. I know it’s not nearly as bad as I take it, but I know how I am so I try to avoid it. 😉

That really is not a bad plan at all. What I watch on the History Channel any more is superficial at best and down right lies at worse.

I agree with HelenRose. I have seen many errors and slants on the history channel. Don’t believe everything you see on that channel.

Actually, I was impressed at how much they worked to PROVE everything, and to show how all of the biblical plagues could be explained by nature, and that through hard, cold, scientific facts you can see the hand of God manipulating the nature He created to suit His purposes.

I just thought it was a refreshing version of the ‘same-old’…
