She is credited with inventing the caravan. No one else had the idea to transport goods across the desert on camels before her?![]()
Firstly, it seems that you are acknowledging the historical mistake of that book author!, caravans throughout Arabian peninsula were established hundreds of years before Muhammed and his wife Khadija!, the tribe of Quraysh were having two trading journeys per year, one in the winter to Yemen, and one in the summer to the north of Arabian peninsula per this quranic verse:
(Quran 106:1-2):
“PICKTHAL: For the taming of Qureysh, For their taming (We cause) the caravans to set forth in winter and summer.”
Secondly, as sister in Christ “jakasaki” said, it seems that book has been written based on the view of the Shia whom represent only around 10% of total Muslims, because no Sunny Muslim would criticise anyone of the 4 major caliphs as contrary to what is written in chapter 74 of that book “The Major Failure of Abu Bakr and Umar”!
Finally, if you want to truly learn about the history of Islam, then I suggest you learn Arabic first, because most of the authentic Islamic historical references were written only in Arabic, and it seems there is no interest in translating them to other languages because that will expose Islam and show the variations and contradictions within it.
