Holding hands during the "Our Father"

I have had various conversations with an older member of our parish, over holding hands during the “Our Father”. She states that she heard on catholic radio and read somewhere that we shouldn’t hold hands at this time. Because by holding hands you rob that person of their sanctity or state of grace. Can someone tell me if there is truth in this.

There are threads on this question already with many responses you could search. You will find that the practice is not a part of the GIRM. You will find many opinions in which you could agree with both for and against. It has been a heated debate on this forum already.
