May be a silly question. But is there a good way to hold the rosary while praying it? Or will any way do?

AFAIK any way will do. I try not to drag mine on the floor or dangle it between my legs, though. :o

However way you are comfortable in holding the Rosary; as long as the Rosary is held in a respectable manner befitting the devotion.

In public I try to hold it in a way so that it won’t make noise from shuffling around or bumping into something. I also hold it so it won’t get tangled. But these are only practical considerations. 🙂

I gave up on rosaries, too difficult to hold and not get tangled! I use a single decade ‘auto rosary’. I make them big enough to slide onto my wrist when not using it.

I you insist on a rosary, any way convienient to you is fine, just try not to drop it !

There is a “fancy” way people used to hold it, but no one seems to use it any more.

I didn’t give up on the rosary but I do prefer the rosary bracelet. I can hold it in my hand and slip it on my wrist when I’m done. It’s a precious part of my wardrobe…

I loooooove my 2 bracelet rosaries. I carry one to work in my pocket every day. My patron saint is St. Patrick, and the one I use the most has shamrocks on it.
