Holy Card Collections?

I have maybe 200 on my bedroom’s wall (coincidentally, i did not try to do this, but I ot it on the eastern wall of my room-where the Orthodox place their icon walls) . Anyone have any particularly cool holy cards/ collections? I use most of my holy cards as bookmarks in Bibles and spiritual books that I’ve been reading. Others I carry tucked in my purse if they are especially meaningful.

Friends of mine did give me this beautiful card from their trip to Medjugorje. It sits on my bedside table.

When I taught at the Catholic school, many of the students kept their cards in those binders made for baseball cards, and would flip through them for prayer, as not just the fronts were visible through the plastic. Once a year they would bring them in for everyone to admire.
 
Also, one of my most treasured possession is the little photo binders that mama kept on the home altar for her daily holy hour. SHe had holy cards, handwritten Scripture passages that were special to her, and good clippings from various sources that she would use in her daily prayer.
 
Great topic @Maximilian75, brings back memories. Teachers gave out holy cards for work well done and on special feasts or occasions. I stored my collection in a large hardboard, tan coloured photo album with prepunched holes, tied at the side with twisted cord.
Mother Mary, Guardian Angels, St Joseph, Christmas, Easter, more.

Funny story. My brother worked at a summer camp one time, leading games and catechism activities. One little camper looked up to him so much, that at the end of the season, he innocently asked him: “Can I have a ‘holy picture’ of you?”
 
I think holy cards should come in packs like baseball cards, but instead of a stick of bubble gum you get half a stick of incense. Or an unconsecrated host.
 
It is good to keep a collection of prayers involving go-to Saints and the Holy Trinity along with the Blessed Virgin Mary. It may not be the quantity but everyone is different.

Gotcha. It’s good to have a collection of articles of faith. Sadly, some people are becoming like Fahrenheit 451 when they see that. I hope we can continue to practice our faith in an anti-discriminatory nature!
 
🤷‍♂️ Those are the only two things I can think of that would fit in a pack of cards. The host more so because it’s edible (like gum).
 
Praying them is what matter, unless you collect them as works of art, but still, praying makes them valuable.

Clare, I love this idea! I always have these little slips of paper, holy cards, and index cards falling all over the place. Putting them all into a photo binder would be perfect!
 
I know of a few of mine that have 3rd class relics inside… I do like the idea od incense though
