**What is holy chrism? **
Holy chrism is a mixture of olive oil and balm, blessed by the bishop on Holy Thursday.

More on that → CCC 1289-1292

What are the ingredients that the Church prescribes for the balm in holy Chrism?

Enjoy some Italian roast coffee with your cake. It’s the pause that refreshes. Go ahead. You can take a break.

It’s usually balsam.

One year my diocese used something else, not positive what but considering the brown residue at the bottom of the vials and the fact that each time there was a Baptism I got a hankering for cookies, I strongly suspect it was vanilla beans. No, I’m not kidding.

Premie, so OK.
What are the ingredients to balm?

That is still the unknown.
