** Presently the Church has selected “for all”,**

Actually, so far as I know, it’s only in the English that this is said. The Latin (and for that matter, St. John Chrystostom in any language) says “for many.”
The comments by Cardinal Ratzinger at the link provided in post 17 indicate that it is also for all in German.

The words are also found in the Roman Missal as used by the Mexican Episcopal Conference. However, I found this rather interesting note:

Here is what the Mexican Episcopal Conference said regarding the “pro multis” matter:
En cuanto a las palabras de consagración del vino, nuestra tercera edición del Misal Romano traerá una variante. La Santa Sede ha establecido que la frase “pro multis” del
texto latino debe ser traducida como “por muchos” en todas las nuevas traducciones de las
plegarias eucarísticas.
Aunque “por muchos” es la traducción literal de la frase latina, la traducción utilizada en México después del Concilio Vaticano II, es la frase “por todos”.
The rough translation is that they will be using “por muchos”, which means, “for the many” for their translation of the third edition of the Roman Missal. Thus, the “pro multis” issue, as another poster noted, isn’t confined to ICEL alone. Furthermore, it also shows that Liturgiam Authenticam is not just aimed at ICEL.

In the OP’s question, the issue of Holy Communion was brought up, but, mixed in with the validity of the consecration. It did seem a little confusing, but, we must remember that in order to have Holy Communion, we must have a properly confected sacrament (Holy Eucharist). Thus, even though the question may have been a little jumbled up, after some pondering, the connection is there, only not as clearly expressed.
