Why non-catholics are asked not to receive communion during mass in catholic churchs???
 
For the Jewish faith, the ark of the Covenant was the true presence of God. If you touched it improperly, then you would die… for all know that it held the Ten Commandments, but few recognize its true Presence of God…

Jesus brought a new Covenant to all between God and all people. That New Covenant is the real presence of the same true God that was found in the ark of the Covenant that that is no longer present, but the HOLY Communion that is and in evangelation of Truth can now be seeked by all and vailable to all over the entire world…

That understanding is important to recieving the Holy Eucarist, that it is the True presence of God. If you have sinned against God, its important to repent and confess your sins to God through a Priest before you receive Holy Communion, for to not do so would be equivilant to touching the Ark of Covenant that would have killed you pysically in the Old Covenant…not that it will kill you physically, but that we recognize the true presence of God and the New Covenant in Truth of the Church…

WE can never come to understand God, , but we must follow God and obey God… that we know…

People dig through the Bible looking for God in an essence of reality, but God is directly in the Eurcharist, that we know and believe in our Faith of God passed down in the Tradition of the Church that so many have thrown away to go it alone their own way…
 
Catholic (and Orthodox) Christians believe that the Eucharist is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ. Those who do not believe in the Real Presence would be committing a sacrilege by receiving the Eucharist.

Non-Catholics – those who are not in communion with the Catholic Church – are not permitted to receive Holy Communion, because this sacrament is a sign of communion between the Church and the recipient. Receiving Holy Communion is an expression of being in communion with the Church.

Non-catholics are not to receive communion during mass in any catholic churches because they are not catholic.
can 842 # 1: “A person who has not received baptism cannot validly be admitted to the other sacraments.”

Because the Catholic Church is the sole proprietor of the Fullness of Truth on planet Earth. And they say so.

1 Cor 11:23-29 For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when He was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also the chalice, after supper, saying, “This chalice is the new covenant in my blood. Do this in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the chalice, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be *guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. *Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgement on himself.

Most non-Catholic Christians don’t believe that the bread and wine actually become the body and blood of Jesus. They believe it is a very sacred symbol, but they don’t discern the body.

Because anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body of the Lord, eats and drinks condemnation to himself (1 Cor 11:29).

But what if X person does discern, that is, acknowledge that the Eucharist is the true body of Christ? What if X person does believe in the Real Presence? In the miracle of transubstantiation as taught by Christianity since the days of the Apostles?

Well, in that case…what is X person waiting for? Why is he/she not joining the Church and enrolling in RCIA? 🙂 Then he will be a member of the Church in full communion and he will be allowed to partake of the Holy Eucharist.

To add a bit to this: During the Eucharistic prayer we say that we are in union with the Pope and the local bishop. We don’t ask non-Catholics to lie and say they are in union when they are not.

Conversely, if someone does feel they are in union with the Pope, the bishop, and the Church, we are more than happy to help them prepare to profess their faith publicly and receive the sacraments.
