I had originally planned on going to Mass at 7:00 pm, but I forgot that I had made a promise to babysit for my friend. I really wanted to go to Mass today, but she will not be back until it’s too late. Am I committing a mortal sin by missing today?

No. Child care is a legitimate reason and dispenses you from the obligation.

Can you watch it on EWTN? Should be on at midnight. Peace.

As said above, child care + you made an honest mistake in forgetting you had committed to baby sit is a legitimate excuse, so not a sin.
If you wanted to do something nice for God, though it’s not required, you can “make up” the Mass tomorrow, or on the next non-Sunday day that there is a Mass scheduled that you can attend. Like a “makeup class” when you’re absent.
