Holy Father on Facebook?

I was watching the news last night and I believe I heard that the Pope or the Vatican has a facebook page. Is this true? The news showed a clip of the Holy Father talking about technology and how it can help spread the Gospel, so if he has a page, sign me up!!
 
It’s true. You can throw sheep at him, pass him a beer, invite him to your mafia team and make him your best friend.

What name is he under? When I typed in “Pope”, “Benedict”, all I found was a fan page made by others.

It has all the links to the various pages that the Vatican has set up to try and put forth the Pope’s message. Facebook, Wikicatholic, Youtube, Iphone etc.
 
Let’s pray for these efforts coming from His Holiness so that young people get closer to The Church.
 
So, like, can the Pope “friend” you now? What does it mean if he doesn’t accept your friend request? :eek:
