Holy Mary and what she said about sexaul sin

I had an old friend tell me one time that Mary told a saint that most people go to hell over sins of the flesh or sexaul sin. where can I read about this story??

Which Catholics are not bound to believe in - they can have their own opinions either way.

Sometimes the things that ‘apparitions’ say come from the minds (unconsciously) of the person seeing them.

:rotfl: An apt justification for completely disregarding a highly esteemed, Church-validated apparition! Yes, perhaps the Blessed Mother really has nothing to say on the subject of modesty and sins of the flesh. :rolleyes: Fortunately, the Bible and the Catechism say plenty!
 
It is in one of the books. I tore my bookshelves apart last night trying to find it so I could quote it for you, but to no avail. I think I have lent it to my prayer group library.I found this site online, but after a quick perusal, I can’t find the quote. I am working from a 28 year old memory of reading the books so if I got it wrong, please forgive me.

Just one point about Church-approved apparitions. While we are not bound to believe in them, the Church has declared them to be ‘worthy of belief’. With so many people saying that you don’t have to believe it, it makes them sound unworthy of belief which is not the case at all.

“Sins of the flesh” though can be taken many ways. Sure some of those are sexual but I would say greed is even bigger than sex because people can point to it and say, I’m a good person because I’m not doing THAT while they continually ignore things like greed, unwillingness to help others etc… Our nation is ripe with it.

I view ‘sins of the flesh’ as more than just sexual as well. I think it covers a whole host of behaviours that gives the gratification of our senses and self a place of honour, a ‘me & my pleasure first’ attitude. IMO, it covers things like indulging yourself in food, drink, sex, drugs, clothes, jewelry, partying, certain films & entertainments, power, even fitness where the condition of one’s body is paramount, the list goes on…
